Now We’re Cooking
The original layout of this kitchen in Hudson, Ohio was not at all functional. Giving thought to how a kitchen functions best and the volume of the space Susan went to work. She redesigned the space, eliminating the single entry to the work area by adding an island, allowing access from both ends making it easy to put food on the table.
The high ceilings where accented with hand-hewn beams, antiqued to look aged. The vent for the cooktop now goes to the ceiling emphasizing the cathedral ceiling.
Removing dated tile which stopped halfway up the wall accentuated the height of the room. Adding stone compliments the new rustic feel of the kitchen. The total renovation makes the kitchen beautiful and functional.
